Web-quest

A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. These can be created using various programs, including a simple word processing document that includes links to websites.     Here's a link to the web-quest done by me and my friends about prime numbers. It is an easier way for students and may grab their attention more than the primitive ways of learning. We can also examine students' understanding at the end of the lesson by solving the exercises on the web-quest.     Check it out and let me know what do you think of it? Is it beneficial? Will students prefer such a thing? And you as teachers, would you use technology in your teaching career, or will you stick to the old primitive ways in teaching? https://sites.google.com/a/students.liu.edu.lb/prime-numbers/home

Gaps between students and teachers

Why there is a gap between students and teachers ? There are many reasons that may give an answer to this question. One of the first reasons may be considered to be the age difference between students and teachers. There is a widespread idea that between persons of different age there will always be a gap. Because teachers are older and more experienced, sometimes they try to impose their ideas and beliefs, creating another reason to create a gap between two generations. Another reason may be considered the severity of certain teachers. But sometimes the gap is the result of students’ attitude. Students may have a negative attitude towards their teachers. Due to this, students refuse to collaborate with their teachers and students create a barrier between these two sides. Ideas to solve the gap between students and teachers Each relationship between teachers and students is different. Due to this, if there is a gap between these two parts of the educational process, there is ...

Early STEAM Learning with LEGO Education: All Aboard the Coding Express

The webinar I attended was about LEGO and its contribution in learning. The idea of this is that all children are born equal and creative. STEAM is touching and manipulating, it is learning through touching stem things or real life evidence. Learning is a right for all human beings no matter what gender, race or age. STEAM is just for everyone, to prepare all students to be successful and give them what they deserve. Teachers should boost the children's confidence from early ages and help them succeed by providing a suitable environment for them and using tools in learning such as toys.   The most important thing is how to express yourself, what you want and what you need. All students want to do great but most of them do not know how. When students don't know how to behave, they are punished. But this must not be the solution. We are responsible for teaching them and guiding them how to behave just like we teach them how to read and write. By many activities we can...

EDUC561 and I

Unlike other courses, EDUC561 has to be the most enjoyable one for  that it doesn't demand books, memorizing, or written assignments. This course is our way to engage more in the field of education in an advanced technological way. It's a facilitation for a teacher's work as she can do all quizzes or assignments all online and in an easy way, without even having to correct exams or lose time on such stuff. Hopefully, by the end of the course we will be enriched by information, our use of technology in an efficient way will increase and our duty as teachers will definitely enhance. Looking forward to continue this course and share with you all the details of this interesting journey!
